Letting the paper do the work!!

I had forgotten all about this background paper but when going through my scraps looking for something I could use to do the Jac-inks layout challenge I found it. I thought it was an easy way to achieve the layout, so used it.....bit lazy hey......but when you are pushed for time and it does the work...GREAT!!!! I had just borrowed the stamps from Lovely Linda and the vellum butterflies were left over from the card stack class on Monday night. I have also had the ribbon for ages. I used the very last one of my Stampin' Up Antique brads, so will HAVE to get some more as I LOVE them. So sometimes a layout maybe a bit overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. This card was simple and quick yet when I saw the layout I was thinking it was going to take me a while. Also added it to Flutter By Wednesday's open challenge just had to have butterlfies!!

Layers...

I have created this card to place into several challenges listed here below:

CR84FN Colour Challenge 24
Cupcake Craft Challenge
Karen's Doodles Challege
The Sweet Shop sketch challenge
Sassy Studio Designs - Pastels
Southern Girls - Green & Blue

Pretty in Pink

I have made this card for the CR84FN Colour Challenge. I love the bird cage and so wanted to use it on a card and so was thinking of something pretty. When I saw the colours for this challenge I knew what I could do. The large flower is Prima, and the butterflies I had bought at the last Craft Show, don't know who makes them sorry!!

Also entered into Anita Be Stampin Challenge
plus Top Tip Tuesday
also Karens Doodles Challenge Blog
& Oldie but a Goodie Challenge
also Truly Scrumptious

Amber's Crafts and Stuff Challenge is My Favourite Things....mine are the colour pink, butterflies and I love the bird cage and Prima flowers......so this card works for me!!!

The small roses were actually cheapies, & pale pink, so I inked them up with the rose pink and they look heaps better! Also entered in the ABC challenge, & the Tuesday Throwdown & the Incy Wincy Designs Challenge, & the Papertake Weekly Challenge, Woodward USA Clear Stamps Challenge, Scrappy Frogs Challenge, Flourishes Boutique.

BOYS!!

I have made this card for a challenge or two.....maybe a few, not sure. But for now I will add it to the Paper Players Challenge also it could fit the card for a young teenage boy so add it to Crafty Cardmaker's Spotlight

Ah.....Paris.....

I finally finished off my cards from the last Stampin' Stack I did at Ann Craig's place. They fit the swirls challenge on Creative Stamp Friends blog, so on they go!!

Another great blog candy giveaway

Here is another blog candy worth checking out!

Recycle....

It's great to find bits and pieces around the house that you can use in your card making. Today I found an old music book of my daughters from ages ago and have used the cover of it to add some music to my background on my card. I have also used The Layers of Colors Fleur Heart Stamp which I just LOVE!! Entered this card also in Craft Your Passion Challenge

I keep saying this, but when I make cards for challenges I really do just use what scrap I have in my filing cabinet so I always recycle in a sense anyway, not much goes to waste!! So if you want a challenge here it is: Only use scraps for the next month......let me know if you are in on it!!

Creative Colouring In

At my friend Jean's card making class on Monday night we did a technique of stamping in white ink on black card then colouring in with prima pencils. The soft lead really lends itself to good strong colours. It was very relaxing & with only 2 of us there, we had a lovely time. I put the cards together at home, adding some Layers of Color butterflies as well as some bought ones. I hope you like them! Entered into the PaperCrafting Journey Challenge also the Crazy Challenge CCH#61 also There's Magic in the Air

This card was entered into the Crafty Purple Frog Challenge of Anything but Square. Also add I did it Creations Challenge one last challenge was at Tellen's Place

Last but not least, the card below fits the Stampin' Sister's in Christ Challenge.

Pirates Ahead

One of my favourite, but quickest pages I did for our cruise album was this pirate page.....I just love it!! I think because I really love this photo of my husband. Not only did we have a great time on this cruise but it really worked for him with all his health issues, he found this holiday very manageable which was great.
