This is the first of my projects for this challenge, and believe me it was a challenge, especially the colour element of it....RED / YELLOW / ORANGE is not exactly what we think when we think of PEACE!! So I headed over to my local scrapbooking store,
Scrap 'n Stuff at Richardson shops & took a while finding a paper I could use, especially one that I felt was my kinda thing and that I could use with this theme, but then found this beautiful
Websters paper and built my page on that. I then headed home to look up a scripture verse that talked of peace.....so many to choose from, but settled on Numbers 6:25 & 26. I found a free font download and so used the Angel Wars font which is a little hard to read in the photo, but I really liked it. I used the Tim Holtz Elegant Flourish, (I purchased this through
PaperArtsy, best price!!)Stmapin' Up Antique brads in my flowers, (from my usual and wonderful SU supplier and teacher
Ann Craig)some pearls and my
Layers of color Butterfly stamp, with a bit of wire and pearls. Anyone that knows me knows I cannot resist sponging and this project was no different. I think it all came together pretty well and I am very happy with the result. Now for my 2nd project, something completely different!!
Here are some challenges I entered this 2nd project into:
Cardmadfairy's Digi Days - Add Flowers
Ellephantastic - Here comes the girls!
Easy Craft Projects - Yellow
So this project is a bit of a stretch with the layout, but I wanted to do a Groovy kind of peace man thing....LOL!!! The image is a
KennyK Digi stamp. I was a bit disappointed with my colouring as I did it late at night at my friend
Kim's (had to use her copics as I still don't have any!!) so was a bit rushed & my eyes ain't what they used to be!!! The background paper was from a Woolworths glitter pack from ages ago.
So thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy getting to see all the extra projects on our blogs on the blog hop. Don't forget to leave a comment and go into the draw to
win a handmade project from me. The winner will be randomly selected.....nothing technical, just name out of a hat, but with Christmas around the corner, it might come in handy!!
Regards
Debby
